Villa Nepenthe is located in the south of the Cretan island, nestled on the top of the Alevrota hill, in a cozy traditional village called Kamilari. It is about 2 km from the Libyan sea and close to everything you need: several beaches, beautiful nature, great restaurants and many other tourist areas. It’s a modest, yet luxurious 2 bedroom villa with lots of boho character. The design is inspired by the traditional Greek style, infused with modern minimalism and great attention to comfort. There is access to the WiFi network everywhere, both indoors and outdoors, and there is air conditioning in every room. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and access to the balcony. Downstairs, there’s a living with a closed fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and an outside dining area. The living room and kitchen have panoramic folding doors. When these are fully opened, the entire ground floor becomes one large indoor-outdoor space with lots of space and light. Outside by the pool, you get the feeling of a self-contained resort, surrounded by tropical plants. At the back of the house, there’s a cozy stone garden with mediterranean plants. It has a comfortable seating area, equipped with an outdoor fireplace that runs on ethanol fuel, perfect for warmth and cozy comfort in the evenings. But the best place in the house is without a doubt the huge terrace on the top floor. Surrounded by a herbal roofgarden and equipped with a full outdoor kitchen, there is ample space to relax in the lounge and enjoy the breathtaking view over the valley with its olive groves, the surrounding mountains and the vast ocean with a tiny nearby island right in front of you. The culture in Crete revolves around cooking and eating in the open air. The rooftop kitchen is equipped with a gas BBQ, perfect for a large lunch or dinner, ready to receive a large group of people.
